MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Monday, March 30: 12-1pm
- WHAT: Panel discussion on depression and the college lifestyle
- WHEN: 12-1pm
- WHERE:  Claudia Cohen Hall-- Terrace Room
- WHY:  Learn how college student's sleep cycles and lifestyles can affect depression. We will hear from Dr. Ronald Kotler, M.D., sleep expert at Pennsylvania hospital and Dr. Emily Weiss, Ph.D from CAPS for the panel, as well as a fellow student.

Tuesday, March 31:  Yoga: 7pm
- WHAT: Yoga
- WHEN: 7pm
- WHERE: Harrison Rooftop Lounge
- WHY: Stress Relief

Wednesday, April 1: Mental Health Camp: 7-9pm
- WHAT:  Hear Dr. Russ Ramsay speak about attention, ADHD, and the misuse of stimulant medication and participate in breakout sessions on topics such as perfectionism, minority mental health, and how to help a friend 
- WHEN: 7-9pm
- WHERE: Huntsman Hall G65
- WHY: Learn real-life skills about how to deal with mental health issues

Thursday, April 2: Keynote Speaker: 7-8pm
- WHO: Dr. Bray, the current President of the American Psychological Association
- WHAT: Mental Health Awareness Week keynote speaker
- WHEN: 7-8pm
- WHERE: Meyerson B1
- WHY: Hear Dr. Bray discuss the relationship between research, academica, and mental health treatment

Thursday, April 2: Quizzo - Sex, Drugs, Mental Health, & Body Image: 9:30-11pm
- WHAT: Quizzo - sex, drugs, mental health, & body image
- WHEN: 9:30-11pm
- WHERE: New Deck Tavern
- WHY: have a great time and see how much you know about mental health


Saturday, April 4: Stomp Out Stigma Run: 12pm
- WHAT: 2.5 mile run/ walk around the Penn to promote mental health awareness and to reduce stigma 
- WHEN: 12 pm registration, 1pm run begins
- WHERE: the button
- WHY: to show support for mental health awareness
- PRIZES: fastest female runner, fastest male runner, largest running team, additional categories (surprise!)
- Other: Come early and receive a free t-shirt, $10 flat registration fee - Proceeds will benefit local Mental   Health Organizations 
- ** Food and Drinks will be provided **
