The Alpha Phi Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Alpha Phi Fraternity. Our philanthropic priority is to combat heart disease – the #1 killer of women in North America. Alpha Phi has been helping hearts since 1946, when the Fraternity officially adopted the cause. Today, the Foundation is dedicated to educating our members and the public about cardiac disease. But our mission goes beyond that…through scholarships, aid to women in crisis, leadership development and educational programs, we champion the advancement of women. Alpha Phi Fraternity and Foundation stand together, hand to hand and heart to heart.

Alpha Phi Foundation is a financially successful organization that operates with the highest ethical values. In the spirit of mutual respect and life-long membership in Alpha Phi, the Foundation funds programs that

As a chapter, we have taken huge strides to give back to the foundation. For the past few years we have hosted an event called Karaoke Phiver in which members of different fraternity chapters compete in a karaoke style competition. They sing, dance, and perform routines they have practiced for weeks to songs such as "Thriller" and "It's Gonna Be Me". We have raised over 3000 dollars through this event and many sisters would consider it their favorite event of the year.

This year, we teamed up with St. Joes chapter and Villanova chapter of Alpha Phi to host Red Dress Gala downtown. With everyone dressed in "red tie" attire, our first very successful formal event incorporated dinner, dancing, and a silent auction. In total, we raised $11,000.

Because the Alpha Phi foundation benefits women's cardiac care research, as a chapter we also joined the local Philadelphia alumni and other chapters in the Philadelphia heart walk.

This year, we hosted our first annual holiday party for big brothers big sisters. Sisters set up stations of face painting, holiday card making, cookie decorating, and even dressed as elves to make a fantastic party for this group of kids.

For the holidays, we also collected Christmas presents for Operation Santa Claus and were able to provide over 25 children with their Christmas wishes.

Since its beginning at Penn, our sisters have been part of and headed the planning committee for Relay for Life. As a sisterhood, each spring we support our sisters’ work, and a great cause, by participating in the event.

As the Eta Iota chapter is located in West Philadelphia, we have taken every opportunity possible to give back to the community. Every semester, we adopt a soldier and send him or her presents, cards, and necessities, as a sorority.

Besides involvement in the community as a chapter, our sisters have individually spent over 2000 hours this semester giving back. Sisters participate in philanthropic activities in the community and the school such as:
