Blowing Rocks Preserve

MISSION
Blowing Rocks Preserve is a 73-acre barrier island sanctuary. The preserve
protects a diversity of natural habitats for threatened and endangered
nesting sea turtles, shorebirds, migratory birds as well as small mammals.
Volunteers will assist with habitat restoration: invasive plant removal,
native plant nursery and restoration work, trail building, and trail maintenance.
Local attractions include the beach, Boca Raton area, and exposure to local
wildlife.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Restored native habitat conditions in various areas surrounding the Conservancy

Aided in the propagation of nursery plants and shrubbery

Successfully cleared invasive plants from native shrubbery

Cleared trails and removed plant overgrowth
