Eligibility || Costumes || Syllabus || Cancellation Policy || Liability

There are no restrictions on age or affiliation. Youth, adult, and non-collegiate competitors are welcome.

Newcomers must have started competing after September 1, 2011.

Competitors must determine their eligibility according to the YCN Proficiency Points System. The accumulation of seven or more points in an event at a particular level makes a competitor ineligible to compete in that event/level. A couple must compete at the level of the more experienced dancer.

Please, please, please don't dance down. If you've placed in the top three at a few competitions, that means you're doing well and you should certainly take a shot at the next higher level!

There must be at least a 3-couple final for cash prizes to be awarded.

Costumes are prohibited in Newcomer and Bronze, but are allowed in all other events (including the syllabus Viennese Waltz and Paso Doble).

Costumes are defined as:
- Anything with rhinestones, sequins or feathers
- Tailsuits and Latin shirts with a slitted front or other such styling
