(from the program of the 2010 CP Spring Show "Nicktunes")"IT’S ALL IN THE GAAAME OF LOOOO-HOO-WOOO-AAHHH-OOOVVVVEEE — oh, sorry, that was just Maya Tepler belting Michelle Branch. Truth is, Maya will belt pretty much anything. Even things that shouldn’t be belted. If you don’t already know Maya, it’s because you’re not in a performing arts group at Penn (she’s in every single one). Or it’s because you’re socially awkward. At any given moment, Maya can be found directing, belting, cooking, belting, at Smoke’s in yoga pants, belting, running a marathon, belting, or yelling at Will Steinberger. And sometimes she belts. We’re so proud of her for finally taming her vibrato occasionally. Maya now lights up the stage in such legitimate professional productions as Girls Night: The Musical. We’re shocked she didn’t win the Tony. Oh, L’Maya Teps — you’ve come so very far from those freshman train wreck days, and we love you just the same."
