Repertoire

Our standard rep has songs that we almost always have ready to perform. (note: at the beginning of each year there are several weeks when the new members do not yet know anything) Our current rep has songs that we will perform for at least one more semester.

Standard Repertoire

  • Fever (arr. Dan Coleman'93)
    - a jazz classic that lets our four senior girls heat up the stage.
  • "At Last" by Etta James (arr. Tiffany Tran '09)
    - a romantic and timeless jazz hit sure to bring back memories.
  • Heavy Cloud, No Rain (arr. Dan Coleman'93)
    - an upbeat and jazzy version of a Sting song.
  • It's Only a Paper Moon (arr. Kate Grant'92)
    - a fun jazz standard with three solos and vocal improv.
  • Love, Thy Will Be Done (arr. Dennis La'98)
    - a religious tune that we sing at Penn's Baccalaureate each year.
  • The Red and Blue (arr. Jon Coopersmith'91)
    - a very collegiate arrangement of Penn's fight song.
  • Route 66 (arr. Dan Coleman'93)
    - written by Penn alum Bobby Troup, we sing this everywhere.
  • Ten Minutes 'Till the Savages Come (arr. Dan Coleman'93)
    - a sultry jazz number that we've recorded four times.
  • Tu Vuo' Fa L'Americano (arr. Eugene Lee'05)
    - an energetic crowd-pleaser in Italian.
  • Tuxedo Junction (arr. Dan Coleman'93)
    - like Route 66, an ensemble jazz piece that we sing all the time.
  • Would You Be in Our Group? (arr. Bruce Wells'06, Ed Schultheiss'86)
    - luckily for all, only new initiates hear this number.
