Cyclocross Racing

Invented by the Belgians as a winter sport for road cyclists, Cyclocross is *intended* to take place in the cold, with losts of mud and rain. Typically the courses are around a few miles long and include sections where carrying the bike on one's shoulder while running may be necessary. Cyclocross races are between a half hour to a full hour long, depending on skill level, and require 110% effort throughout their entirety.
