Penn Equestrian Team
Prospective Riders - General

Thank you for your interest in the University of Pennsylvania Equestrian Team. We are always seeking new and talented candidates for our riding program. Because the University of Pennsylvania is an Ivy League institution and the Penn Equestrian Team is not a varsity sport on campus, we cannot offer prospective riders any scholarships or aid the application process in any manner.

If you are accepted to the University of Pennsylvania, we welcome you to submit a resume of your equestrian and academic achievements to date and/or a video that demonstrates your riding ability both over fences and on the flat via email to upennequestrian@gmail.com. Although not mandatory, these materials will allow us to get a better sense of your riding ability and help us fit you into our team roster. If you have not yet heard back from the University of Pennsylvania regarding the status of your application, please do not send us your materials. Videos are acceptable in the form of a hyperlink or file attachment. Please limit resumes to one page and include your USEF, AQHA, USDF, or USEA number if applicable. A separate copy of your show record is also encouraged and highly suggested.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us via email at upennequestrian@gmail.com. A lot of important information can already be found on this website, and you have already made an important first step by visiting us here. Each year, we hold a mandatory information session at the beginning of the fall semester to meet our new prospective riders and explain what it takes to become a part of the University of Pennsylvania Equestrian Team. Please continue checking this website for updates and details regarding this information session or come find us at the annual Fall Activities Fair for incoming freshmen.

In the meantime, we wish you the best of luck with completing the remainder of your school year and the show season. We look forward to meeting you.
