Gallows Humor
By Jack Richardson
Directed by Maggie Borden

Walter is about to be executed, but with his last meal he gets an unexpected encounter with Lucy, who turns his world upside-down. Meanwhile, the executioner attempts to express himself with zany costumes and declarations, but his wife will have none of it. Richardson's satire of the penal system explores the idea of conformity in an irrational world.

Maggie Borden

Maggie Borden is a sophomore in the College majoring in Cinema Studies. Her love of theater stems back to elementary school, where she had her first taste of the art of acting with the incredibly prestigious role of "Dog." Ever hungry for the stage, Maggie continued her journey into high school, where she wrote, acted, and directed. After several stints at Penn on various technical crews (including Intuitons, Stimulus Children's Theater, One Acts, and Quadramics), Maggie is extremely excited to make her collegiate directorial debut with Front Row.

All the world's a stage...some of us just have better seats
