Death and the Maiden
Student Art Exhibition and Silent Auction
Sponsored by Harrison College House and Front Row Theatre Company

During the week of March 26th, Harrison College House and Front Row Theatre Company will be sponsoring an art exhibition of pieces created by students and based off of Schubert's "Death and The Maiden." The exhibit will take place in both Harrison College House and Houston Hall, and will coincide with FTC's production of Ariel Dorfman's play with the same title. The pieces will then be auctioned off in a silent auction, with all proceeds going toward rape prevention and women's health groups.

One artist will be chosen from the submitters by a panel of judges to be the recipient of a $250 cash prize, and their submission will be displayed in Harrison College House for an extended period.

Any and all students of the University of Pennsylvania (both undergraduate and graduate) are invited to submit pieces for consideration, with the following guidelines:

• Artists must register by filling out the form below no later than March 17th.
• All pieces must be original, and must be inspired in some way by Schubert’s “Death and The Maiden.” Here's an mp3 file of Death and the Maiden.
• Submissions can be in any visual medium (including photography), but must be able to be moved easily to and from the exhibit.
• The piece will be donated permanently, and will be auctioned off for charity. The artist is, however, welcome to bid on his or her own piece.
