Tape
By Stephen Belber
Directed by Emer O'Callaghan

High school friends Vince and John meet in Lansing, Michigan to celebrate John's new film, which is featured at a local film festival.  John playfully criticizes Vince's cavalier lifestyle - he's a volunteer fireman who makes a living dealing drugs - but the conversation quickly turns dark when Vince brings up Amy, an old flame. Tensions rise as each character's account of the past differs, and one unsettling version is caught on tape. Belber's provocative drama reminds the viewer that the truth is often elusive and that memory and motive are rarely clear.

it's funny because she's in a car Emer O'Callaghan

Emer O'Callaghan is a junior in the College, double-majoring in Theater Arts and Communications. While this is her first full-scale directing experience, she has acted, assistant directed, and stage managed in the past.  Directing for Front Row is a dream come true for Emer, who has loved working with the company since she was cast as Dora in Equus the fall of her freshman year, including serving on the 2006-2007 Board. She looks forward to returning from London after a semester of study and setting to work on what she knows will be an excellent production.
