As Bees In Honey Drown
By Douglas Carter Beane
Directed by Maggie Borden
Described by the media as the "hot" writer-of-the-moment, Evan Wyler captures the attention of Alexa Vere de Vere, a glamorous woman whom Evan believes to be his ticket to success. But once Evan fools himself into believing he loves her, Alexa vanishes, leaving Evan to discover the truth about her identity as he meets the many people who fell victim to her spell before him. As Bees in Honey Drown explores society's obsession with the celebrity status, and the price we pay for our scant fifteen minutes in the spotlight.
