Directions to the University of Pennsylvania

From the Northeast

Take the New Jersey Turnpike to exit 4 for Route 73 North. Proceed on Route 73 North to I-295 South. From I-295 South, take exit 26 of I-76 West. Cross over to Philadelphia via the Walt Whitman Bridge. This section of I-76 is also called the Schuylkill Expressway. Take Exit 34BA for University Avenue, and follow across the 34th Street Bridge to enter campus.

From the Northwest

Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike to Exit 326, Valley Forge Interchange. Take I-76 East (Schuylkill Expressway) approximately 17 miles to Exit 345, Thirtieth Street. Turn right onto Arch Street (one way), turn left onto 30th Street. Continue straight to Walnut Street, turn right onto Walnut Street to enter the campus.

From the North

Take I-95 South to I-676 Westbound toward Center City. From I-676 exit in less than two miles taking "exit only" ramp towards the airport marked I-76 East. As you approach the end of this exit ramp, immediately merge into the right lane and follow the ramp to Exit 345, Thirtieth Street Station. Turn right onto Arch Street (one way), turn left onto 30th Street. Continue straight to Walnut Street, turn right onto Walnut Street to enter the campus.

From the South

Take I-95 North to Exit 13 signed "291 East to I-76". Follow 291 East across (Platt) Bridge to 26th Street, which leads directly onto I-76 West. Take I-76 West 3 miles to Exit 346B, University Avenue, and follow across the 34th Street Bridge to enter campus.

 

Platt Performing Arts House, 3702 Spruce Street

The Glee Club office is located in Rm 133 of the Platt Performing Arts House, in the basement of Stouffer Commons. The building is located on the corner of 37th and Spruce, adjacent to the Upper Quad.

 

Suggested Parking Areas

(from 34th and Walnut)

38th and Walnut Street Parking Lot (119 S 38th Street)
1. At the intersection of 34th and Walnut, turn right onto Walnut Street.
2. Continue until reaching 37th Street.
3. The parking lot is located one half block up Walnut Street between 37th and 38th Streets on the right hand side. There is another entrance on 38th Street.

Freshgrocer - 40th and Walnut Streets (4009 Walnut Street)
1. At the intersection of 34th and Walnut, turn right onto Walnut Street.
2. Continue until reaching 40th Street.
3. After the intersection of 40th and Walnut will be the entrance to the Freshgrocer parking garage on the right.
