Interested in joining the Penn Hockey team?
The
University of Pennsylvania Men’s Hockey team participates at the
Division II level in the Southeast Region of the American Collegiate
Hockey Association (“ACHA”). Within the ACHA, the Team competes
in the ten-team Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Hockey Association (“MACHA”),
which includes, among other teams, Princeton, Wagner, Rider, and
William Patterson University. The season runs from mid-September
through early March, during which the Team plays approximately thirty
games. The season begins with a tryout weekend, after which the
team practices a minimum of two times per week. During the 2008-09
season, on-ice practices take place on Monday and Wednesday evenings,
and mandatory dryland training occurs every Tuesday.
All recruits interested in joining the Penn hockey program should
download and fill out the Prospective Player Form and send the
completed version to rakleinesq@comcast.net.
Interested recruits are likewise encouraged to visit Penn, during which
the recruit may stay overnight with a Team member and thereafter
practice with the Team and/or attend a game.
Please consult the documents below should you have any additional
questions about our program. If, after doing so, you would like
more information about the Team, please feel free to send Head Coach Bob Klein an email
