NEWS AND NOTES

Penn is 3-3-0 since the holiday break, bringing their overall record to 18-8-0.  With a 10-2-0 record in MACHA play the Quakers are currently in 2nd place in the league and have locked up a playoff bid.

There are a limited number of PENN Men's Ice Hockey Sweatshirts available in select sizes.  If you are interested in purchasing one please contact us.

On January 21st former captain Todd Leri returned to the Quaker line-up.  In his first game back he tailed a natural hat-trick in the third period against Seton Hall.  On January 30, in a 10-3 victory over Yale, captain Micah Cohen notched a hat-trick of his own, while freshman Jeff Greenberg added 5 assists.

MACHA ALL-STAR GAME SELECTIONS

On February 1st MACHA president Les Schriber announced the league's selections for the All-Star game.  Forwards Micah Cohen, Jeff Greenberg, Justin Mascitelli, and Cale Spaulding were chosen to represent the league in the March 12th contest against the Metropolitan Collegiate Hockey Conference All-Stars.  Penn coach Dave Berger was also selected to serve as an assistant coach of the MACHA All-Star team.  The game will be played at the Staten Island Ice Pavilion with an 8pm face-off time.

MACHA PLAYOFFS AT VINELAND ICE ARENA

The Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Hockey Association announced the schedule for the 2005 Playoff Tournament.  All games will be played at Vineland Ice Arena on February 25, 26, and 27.

Friday, February 25
5:00pm - 3rd Place vs. 6th Place
8:00pm - 4th Place vs. 5th Place

Saturday, February 26
3:30pm - 1st Place vs. lowest remaining seed
6:30pm - 2nd Place vs. highest remaining seed

Sunday, February 27
3:15pm - Championship Game
