Kite and Key is a collection of many programs and activites which together make up the largest service organization at Penn. Student volunteers in the Admissions Office, including Tour Guides, sit-in Ambassadors, High-School Outreach representatives, and Overnight Hosts, are all members of Kite and Key. Opportunity and Access is a new Kite and Key program that works with the Resource Centers on campus to aid the Admissions Office in reaching out to a diverse group of potential students. We also run two mentoring programs, Penntoring on-campus with foster children and Step-One Tutoring at Lea Elementary/Middle School. We provide volunteers Ronald McDonald House throughout the year and to the Alumni office during Homecoming weekend, Alumni Weekend, Baccalaureate, and Commencement. Finally, we perform a large community service fundraiser once per semester for different causes.
