Middle States Champ. 10/20-10/21The team took 3rd place out of 20 teams and earned $500 dollars towards a trip to nationals, narrowly missing out of an automatic birth. The men's team consisted of Conor Donnelly, Mark Schlecker, Jon Wroble, and David Richards and the women brought Rose Schlecker, Keri Wong, Maggie Gladman, and Cathy Zeanah. The two day event started with UPenn beating Lehigh's B team, Pitt's B team, and TCNJ's A-team. The second day, UPenn beat Lehigh's A team only to fall in the semifinals to Penn State A, the eventual champions. Since Penn State A played Penn State B in the final, the losers of the semifinals were playing for second place and an automatic birth to nationals; however, Villanova edged UPenn for the runner up finish. |
