Penn State Match (September 20th) In our first matches of the semester, UPenn defeated Penn State 23 games to 22 games. UPenn also defeated U Pittsburgh 22 games to 21 games. Both were come-from-behind wins that were clinched in the final match - the mixed doubles. These were huge wins against tough teams and a great way to kick off the fall season! Villanova Match (#1) (October 3rd) The team went up to Villanova and played well and came out with a 2-1 record (Lafayette defaulted in their match). Villanova Match (#2) (October 10th) This match was postponed and hopefully will be rescheduled for either the end of the month or early November! Princeton JV Match (October 11th) In one of the team's biggest matches of the fall, we traveled up to Princeton, NJ to take on their excellent JV tennis squads. The women lost an extremely close match, falling 4-5, while the men got beaten 2-7. Both teams played well but began slow with the 11:30 am start time. Here are the results:

Sectional Championships (October 17-18) On Saturday October 17th, The UPenn Club Tennis team woke up nice and early and traveled to Lehigh for preliminary pool play. In our first match, we defeated Gettysburg 25-2. In our second match we defeated Lafayette 25-6. Finally, we defeated Bucknell 22-14 to end the day 3-0 and put ourselves in the final 8 for Sunday.
TCNJ Match (October 31st) We traveled to TCNJ to play in a small tournament that included TCNJ, Rutgers, and Villanova.
Delaware Match (November 14th)
For our last matches of the semester, the team traveled down to Delaware to square off against Delaware and Lehigh. We came out victorious in both matches - Here are the results: |
