Pitt & Nova 3/30/08#1 Singles: Kevin Schreiber 1-1#2 Singles: John Reef 1-1 #1 Doubles: Conor Donnelly and Jon Wroble 2-0 #2 Doubles: Reef and Liu 1-0 Donnelly and Liu 1-0 This was a co-ed tri-match between Pitt, Nova, & UPenn. Each match won counted for one point. With the help of the women's team, UPenn finished with 12, topping Nova and Pitt who each tallied 6. Drexel 4/15/08Participants: Aditya Kaji and Conor DonnellyThis impromptu match against Drexel served as a warmup for both teams for Nationals. UPenn won 4 matches. Nationals 4/17/08-4/19/08Participants: Conor Donnelly, Mark SchleckerAditya Kaji, Arjun Prabhu The team competed at the nationals in Cary, NC. The team beat Portland State South Dakota State, and lost to Texas, the eventual national champion, on the first day. One the second day, the team dropped three matches to Texas Tech, Miami (OH) and South Carolina by a total of three games. The Texas Tech match was filled with thrilling comebacks in two of the matches, with UPenn coming back from 4-0 and 5-2 down to win on two occasions. On the final day, UPenn topped Northeastern to finish 31st/64. |
Drexel Philly Classic 4/26/08Participants: Conor Donnelly, Mark Adams, Fernando Fanton, Shani Weerakoon.The team beat TCNJ, Temple, and Drexel on the way to the title. Princeton JV 4/27/08For the first time in more than six years, the UPenn Club Tennis team beat the Princeton JV team.
