A few of our members had such great experiences at NSBE Region 2 Fall Regional Conference in Baltimore this year that they wanted to share why it was so great for them:

• Norma Alexis Brown, C/O 2013, Bioengineering
  FRC in Baltimore this year was great. The highlight for me was being able to present my summer research project in an oral and poster competition and winning. I also really enjoyed seeing my Penn chapter getting 2222-HYPE and representing Penn well.


• Jamal Taylor, c/o 2015, Undecided (M&T)
  NSBE's Fall Regional Conference in Baltimore was an incredible experience. I really enjoyed networking with other engineers and going to the various workshops. In particular, the workshop on marketing yourself beyond your resume was extremely interesting and helpful. I am really looking forward to Nationals after attending FRC.


• Samantha Jones, C/O 2014, Bioengineering
  This was my first NSBE conference and it was a really great experience. It was so great being able to bond with our chapter more and to meet other engineers. It was refreshing to see how excited people get about engineering and it inspired me to be more "Hype" about being an engineer in general. The highlight for me was definitely the bonding time with our chapter, we all definitely got a lot closer.


• Kevin Holmes, Class of 2013, Chemical Engineering
  I really enjoyed FRC this year, mostly because we brought so many students with us! It was great representing Penn, networking and socializing with other chapters, and growing stronger as a family. We can’t wait for nationals!


• Vinh Ho, C/O 2014, Urban Studies
  THe highlight of my trip was being able to hear from the regional and national leaders of this NSBE talking about how it has tremendously helped them succeed in their professional lives. NSBE has developed many students into working professionals and I'm glad to be a part of this organization that helps minorities. I was also very happy that Penn NSBE had a great showing and we represented the Danger Zone very well.


• Magalie Lilavois, c/o 2012, Bioengineering
  FRC was A-mazing! I met so many people from different schools, networking with recruiters was wonderful, Penn repped hard, per usual! Now I feel like we are 222-HYPE for Nationals! DEUCE DEUCE DEUCE!!!!


• Dayo Adewole, C/O 2014, Bioengineering
  This year's Fall Regional Conference was the first I attended. The workshops were informative and I enjoyed having chapters from around the region coming together to get 2222-HYPE. Overall I had a great time.


• Lydia Atangcho, C/O 2014, Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering
  Hordes of eager, young engineers chanting the words “222-HYPE!”. This is what I was met with as I entered the doors of the NSBE Region 2 FRC. I was instantly consumed with a surge of emotion and excitement to be amongst a group of people who shared the same passion for and commitment to the fields of engineering. Truly a wonderful experience.
