The Penn Band is well-equipped and staffed for offerings of the highest quality. Our greatest asset is our student membership; they are unmatched in their enthusiasm and love for Music and the University of Pennsylvania. The Penn Band maintains a large and varied repertoire of musical instruments, flexible enough to serve any performance situation and equip any visiting student. The Penn Band music library contains over 800 pieces of music in its library of music, including over 120 customized arrangements of contemporary pieces.
Via its association with the Department of Athletics, the band has access to athletic facilities at historic Franklin Field and the Palestra. The band’s rehearsal room will be installed with a 7.1 surround sound system, DLP projector, 8-ft. projector screen, and audio recording capabilities this fall.
