Andrew's singing career started as an infant in a smoky NYC mahjong parlor. Hiding in the cargo hold of the Chinatown bus, he later
escaped to freedom...to suburban Philly, where he developed mastery of the piano, violin, sax, air guitar, and kazoo; and conducted "this
one time at band camp." After training with the Harvard Glee Club as an undergrad, however, he discovered singing as his true musical calling.
Andrew is a past winner of the World TV All-USA Singing Championship, finalist in Hong Kong's TVB Talent Search, and has performed as
a soloist at the Hong Kong City Hall Theatre. He turned down 2 contracts to become an Asian pop singer in order to pursue his entrepreneurial
interests and a consulting career at Bain. A recent sing-off with William Hung, however, has driven him to shoot for the big time
again to prove that Asians really can sing, dance, act, and charm the ladies.
Besides singing with PennYo, Andrew likes watching baseball, taking photos from dangerous spots, scatting, conquering Whistler when
it snows, spontaneous travel, candlelit dinners, buying new gadgets, dreaming of life as a Song Dynasty swordsman, and above all, living
for the moment.
