Karen Cheuk

MBA Class of 2007
Soprano

Business Manager

Karen comes to PennYo from Hong Kong, the City of Life. Singing has always been an integral part of her life - she actually acquired most of her Mandarin skills through karaoke (other than learning from her Shanghainese boyfriend)! Frequently scaring her friends off by bursting into random singing, she feels extremely fortunate to be part of the Yo's who are ready to perform in anywhere at anytime (e.g. during Dim Sum in Chinatown!).

A past winner of Chinese solo singing in the Hong Kong Music Festival, her interest in a cappella music started in Cambridge, where she was part of the University Gospel Choir. She is passionate about creating musical experiences that leave the audience touched and inspired. Aside from PennYo, Karen loves meeting new friends and trying out restaurants in Philly as a 2nd year MBA student.

Solos Performed:
Jie Tuo (Letting Go)
Hong Dou (Red Bean)
Ai De Zhen Hao (Sweet Love)
Ting Hai (The Sound of the Ocean's Tears)
