Chenxi Lin

Chenxi is born and raised in the sweet city of Fuzhou, China, a huge city famous (kinda) for its mindblowingly hot weather, the slightly unsettling dialect that gives Chenxi his cute accent, and dish that apparently makes Buddha jump over a wall? Who knows. His parents came to the United States when Chenxi was probably the cutest baby on the planet, so he was raised in China by his super adorable grandparents, who taught him the inspiring values of always dressing to impress.

Ever since he was a little boy, Chenxi has known to channel his inner diva through bold fashion choices. If you ever find him without a tie, a scarf, some periwinkle-blue suspenders, or any combination of the above…you would know something was seriously wrong. Chenxi rejoined his parents in New “Dirty Jerrrz” Jersey in 2003, at the tender age of 11. Although he somehow ended up at Wharton, Chenxi really aspires to be a fashion model—the next Asian Tyson Beckford, one would say. So he spends every waking moment perfecting his blue steel demeanor and making sure that he is always runway-ready. And his hair? Never a strand out of place.

Chenxi has always loved singing, and he knew that one day, his baby- smooth (or some say, sultry as hell) pipes would take him to high places such as PennYo. Still a 17-year old baby, Chenxi is super proud to be currently the only freshman and youngest Yo. In his spare time, Chenxi loves to bust out the moves whenever he hears the sweet sounds of Lady Gaga or Beyonce, sing Jay Chou songs super obnoxiously loudly in the shower, take long naps whenever he gets any downtime, travel and leave his mark in exotic locations, eat strange and delicious but some-might-say unconsumable foods, and pretending to watch his figure by eating low-fat frozen yogurt. And if you ever need to get in touch with him, you will find him stomping the streets of Locust Walk in his bright-yellow boat shoes.
