Dan was born to Muggle parents in Hanover, NH. As the fabled "Chosen One," many doubted whether or not he would rise to greatness; in fact, some gave him no chance at all, claiming his true destiny was to spend life: "craving 2 AM McDonalds and tossing paper cups violently around Radian 515." Nonetheless, Dan carried forth to set his own path, developing into a fine young lad who was to find himself, many moons later, thrust before the gates of College Hall at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dan settled in, hoping his time there would give him a normal life--one without constant doubt or colossal expectations heaped upon him--in other words, the life he had always wanted. The starry-eyed Massachusetts native soon auditioned for PennYo, Penn's premier Chinese a cappella group, hoping this would be the key to finding peace and balance. Little did he know that he was to find the very opposite and stumble into the hands of Fate, of his true Destiny.
Legend spoke of the fabled Chosen One wandering into PennYo; his destiny was to fulfill the Prophecy, an age-old revelation foretold by the Oracle. Dan found himself entrusted with the daunting task of fulfilling the Prophecy; his attempt to avoid his Destiny had landed himself right above its main nerve. Now with time slipping away, the Chosen One bears not only the expectations of his boisterous but supportive Yo's as well as generations of PennYo alums, but the expectations of Fate itself. With all hope for a normal human life swiftly cast away, Dan must now accept his destiny, accept the dangerous but noble task laid before him, and channel everything he has ever learned about existence, courage, charm, and especially cougars, in order to not only obey or fulfill but complete the Prophecy and rewrite history itself as the Chosen One.
