Issei Suzuki

Class of 2011
Bass

Social Chair

Issei spent his elementary school years in Japan loving to sing as a soprano and aspiring to become a kick-ass baseball player like his great uncle Ichiro (Seattle Mariners). A sudden change in his dad's business, however, shipped him over to a Land O'Lakes plant in California where he had to milk the cows and pick strawberries all day. He missed out on all the group singing in his life until, well, he showed up at the PennYo audition. Mesmerized by the beauty of the Yo's, Issei has returned to vocal music now as a base/tenor, and hopes to learn arranging, beat-boxing, and oh yea, some Chinese in the next four years.

Being a simple human being, Issei loves nothing more than food and drink. In Japan he is always on a hunt for finding the best ramen in the country; in Philly, you can find him snickering as he surreptitiously sneaks the soymilk from the Kings Court dining hall (No, really- ask Kevin).

Note: Issei spaces out quite a bit, and may be slightly deaf/ADD. It could be an innate characteristic, or the result of basking in Cali sunshine for too long. Help him out if he looks a little confused.
