FALL 2011 Update

On Sept. 28, 2011, PIBV had our first General Body Meeting for the year. It was both exciting as members — new and old —gathered in JMHH G60 to reacquaint themselves with a club that is synonymous with international development and teaching high strategy consulting skills.

This GBM was a part of the Penn Social Impact Week and on hand PIBV had Zeke Sexauer, Victoria Pisini, and Katie Simon. This past May the trio traveled on a PIBV trip to XX in Ghana where they worked with the Abusua Foundation to help develop a business plan for the sustainable farming project.

During the meeting, they outlined the main goals of their project, how went about analyzing the sustainability model and creating a tangible plan that the organization could follow to ensure future success. In addition, all three shared some of the various enlightening and humorous memories that made their experience one of the most satisfying both professionally and personally.
