Penn International Impact Consulting (PIIC) Interactive Project Map
Penn International Impact Consulting (PIIC) promotes sustainable change by providing consulting services to non-governmental organizations that work abroad. We have partnered with NGOs of all areas of expertise across many countries at every stage of the project, from the initial brainstorming to execution to evaluation. Our approach is two-fold: through on-site and off-site consulting.
For our on-site consulting program, we send teams of 4-6 student consultants to work directly with the NGOs in the host countries for 3 weeks. The Project Development Committee and the NGO client draft the deliverables and objectives beforehand. After extensive training, the consultants are sent to work full-time on the ground with the NGO to execute the project.
For our off-site consulting program, our student consultants work from the University of Pennsylvania. Like our on-site program, the project deliverables and objectives are pre-determined by the Project Development Committee and NGO client. Our off-site program runs for approximately 2 months (from early February to late March). The consultants present their final deliverables to the PIIC student body and to the NGO client via Skype. Some past off-site NGO
clients include: The Kashf Foundation (Pakistan), Skateistan (Afghanistan), Escuela Nueva (Colombia), World Youth Alliance (Asia Pacific).
We provide extensive training to our on-site and off-site consultants to equip them with the necessary knowledge and skill sets to successfully execute the project. In addition, we provide them with risk-management and crosscultural training.
Through our programs, PIIC provides an array of consulting services to our partner NGOs, such as (but not limited to): business strategy, capacity building, impact assessment, fundraising planning and execution, feasibility analysis, marketing analysis and materials, and financial analysis.
