Where: Harrison Auditorium - University of Pennsylvania Museum (33rd & Spruce)
Description: Living the posh life as the CEO of Taiwan’s major hotel chain, Ethan is the envy of all his peers, the jaw-dropping attraction for all the ladies, and the talk of the entire island. For him, success comes as easily as he rolls through the glitzy urban nightlife of Taipei. But despite Ethan’s extraordinary accomplishments, true love for him is as foreign as – and synonymous with – failure. Enter Amy, Ethan’s secretary and close friend since grade school. Armed with a modest and caring disposition, Amy finds herself attracted to Ethan, but discovers him to be an entirely too intimidating challenge to scale. Simultaneously, from the back alleys of Taiwan’s luxury hospitality business, comes a ruthless competitor – Mr. Wolfe, who, along with his battle-tested gang of seven dwarves, will stop at nothing to dismantle Ethan’s hotel empire. Can Ethan’s hotel chain survive Wolfe’s underhanded schemes? Or will it fall prey to the tensions of love? Will Amy finally get her Prince Charming? Or is “happily-ever-after” the deceptive pipe dream of fairy tales? Penn Taiwanese Society proudly presents “Once Upon Taiwan: A Musical of Fairy Tales” – Arranged with your favorite Disney songs! $7 presale - available on the walk or from any cast member; $9 at the door; $6 each for groups of 5 or more.
