Nightmarket PTS NIGHTMARKET: MAJOR event of the semester, not to be missed! Saturday April 23rd Why should you come? Every attendant gets 20 free tickets, each exchangeable for one food item from a booth Come roam through different booths to eat traditional Taiwanese/Malaysian/Korean/African nightmarket food, win prizes at cultural games, and participate in DIY activities! The Wedding Banquet Movie Screening PTS/ QPOC Screening of “The Wedding Banquet” and Dinner Discussion Thursday, April 21st
Location: Goodhand Room- LGBT Center (3907 Spruce St.)
6PM-9PM After the movie, we will hold a discussion to explore themes found in the movie, such as the perceptions of homosexuality, interracial relationships, pressures and expectations from Asian parents, and filial piety. Free dinner will be served!

IRON CHEF: This year APSC (Asian Pacific Student Coalition), JSA (Japan Student Association), PBC (Penn Brazil Club), PPA (Penn Philippine Association), PTS (Penn Taiwanese Society) and SAS (South Asia Society) will provide their three best chefs to compete for the title of 'Iron Chef'. Similar to the show, there will be a secret ingredient revealed at the start of the event. Teams will then have one hour to create a three-course meal (appetizer, entree, dessert) and a panel of judges will determine the winning team depending on taste, creativity, use of the secret ingredient and presentation. |

Formosa: The Epic PTS is proud to present our 7th annual cultural show: FORMOSA: THE EPIC! It's a fairy tale with a twist.. no, more like a loop-dee-loop.. no, a twist AND a loop-dee-loop. In fact, it's a fairytale with a whole rollercoaster ride of adventure, romance, laughs, and music! Come join Penn Taiwanese Society for a magical musical about Eric Jen off to save his childhood crush, Hualien, who is locked away in the tower of Taipei 101 by the evil King Eight Eggs (Wang Ba Dan.. AHA! GET IT??). *15% of proceeds will go towards relief efforts in Japan!*

Love mochi but only know about mochi ice cream? Or want to learn more about what scrumptious dishes glutinous rice can make? Admission is FREE! No need to buy tickets on the walk, but look out for us on Locust next week for more information! Each group's sample only costs $0.50, so trying everyone's mochi won't hurt your wallet at all. And with the variety, you'll probably want to try 'em all. Bring coins and a healthy appetite :)
