The Penn Publications Cooperative (PubCo) is a consortium of 20 university publications, representing over 3,000 students and over 1,000,000 pages in annual circulation. Our mission is to increase readership and participation in student publications and campus journalism. Among a host of tangible initiatives, we operate a series of joint-publication distribution racks around campus found everywhere from the Van Pelt Library to 1920 Commons. We also represent the interests of student publications on the Steering Committee of the Undergraduate Assembly, and to the university community as a whole. The Executive Board of PubCo raises funds each year to recognize excellence in student journalism at Penn through an annual awards process. These awards are currently sponsored by Kelly Writer’s House and the Penn Gazette.
