At the event, local 3rd and 4th graders come in and "judge" neuroscience exhibits put on by undergraduate and graduate students. The event gives the kids a chance to learn about neuroscience in a fun, interactive way! Please sign up to volunteer here.

We plan on baking from 7pm-8pm and then selling from 8pm-9pm. Please sign up here to help out for either shifts or both.

We will have a Faculty Chat with Dr. Gangadhar from Penn Medical school.

We will discuss ideas for the kids judge science fair and have sign up for the vet school visit. Space is limited. A representative from Princeton Review will also come in to talk to us about standerized exam preps.

First Fridays is a monthly event that includes extended museum hours, guest speakers and hands-on activities related to the exhibits. We'll be checking out exhibits including Elemental Matters: Artists Imagine Chemistry and Making Modernity, as well as an Apple Cider Tasting hosted by Three Springs Fruit Farm. Premed advisor Carol Hagan will talk about Pre-Med and Pre-Grad curriculums and answer your questions about classes. A panel of upperclassmen students will also offer advice.

PWBS will be showing the documentary The Medicated Child during the GBM.

PWBS will participate in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light The Night Walk. If you are interested in getting involved please sign up at the site and join the PWBS2011 team. We will meet at 4:30pm on Saturday at the Button in front of Van Pelt and go to the Art Museum together. To fundraise we will have a hot chocolate sale on Thursday, October 20 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm at the Upper Quad Gate. Please come and support PWBS.

We will have another additon to the Science Discussion Series and talk about some upcoming events.

We will be decorating get well cards for children at CHOP and talk more about the Light the Night Charity walk.

We are having physician shadowing sign-up! We will also be having the first of our Discussion Series on stress relief led by a board member. Come and share your opinion while enjoying snacks.

The event is on Tuesday, September 20th from 7:00pm to 8:00pm on 218 S. 40th Street ScoopShop. Please come and support PWBS.

Professor Rhodes is Director of Health Policy Research at the Penn Medical School and she works in the division of Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Pruitt is an Associate Professor of Neurology who will be able to answer any questions you have related to medical school, neurology, and physician life.

We will have one MD/PhD student and 2 MD students on the panel.
