About PWBS

Who We Are

Penn Women's Biomedical Society is an organization that strives to bring together undergraduate women of the University of Pennsylvania to promote academic achievement in the sciences, serve as positive mentors to young girls in the community, and engage in science-related education. PWBS provides undergraduates with information and opportunities pertaining to graduate schools and careers within the biomedical field.

Our Initiatives

General body meetings are held every other week (please see Events page for dates). During general body meetings, PWBS provides great opportunities for members to converse with prominent faculty, doctors, and researchers at Penn, as well as insight into post-undergraduate opportunities with medical school and career panels. There are many events PWBS hosts outside of general body meetings, such as medical school tours, trips to the Franklin Institute, Faculty Chats, Luncheons with Doctors, Christmas card-making at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and many more.

For a comprehensive list of all upcoming events for the semester, please see the Events page.
