The M-1A: Civilian Version of the famous M-14 rifle

Penn Shooting Club

Welcome to the Penn Shooting Club Website!

We're a Penn student group for all gun lovers, shooting enthusiasts, and the victims of unbearable curiosity. Shooting sports are statistically among the safest sports, often ranked closely with curling, bowling, and thumb wrestling. The Club provides an excellent opportunity for interested Penn students to leave the University City "bubble", shoot firearms, practice marksmanship, make new friends, have fun with old friends and relieve the stress of the academics. There is no fee for club membership and everyone is welcome to join. Members come from an extremely diverse range of backgrounds and interests.

Our purpose: to spread appreciation for the shooting sports, encourage gun safety, and exercise our Second Amendment rights.

The Penn Shooting Club was founded in the Fall Semester of 2009 by founder and incumbent President Cille Kissel. Although the spirit of shooting sports has been absent on campus in recent times, the history of shooting sports and competitve shooting can be traced back to 1883, when Penn'sfirst Gun Club was organized. The Penn Shooting Club has been recognized by the Penn Students Activities Council as of Fall 2010. We generally go on shooting trips atleast once a month during the academic semesters.
