Lecture: Thinking About Treating Non-Traditional Pets?
Lecturer: Len Donato, VMD
Owner/Veterinarian
Radnor Veterinary Hospital
Bio:

A 1996 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Len Donato has successfully navigated the desire to practice exotics medicine while still pursuing ownership and clinical responsibilities for a small animal general practice. In addition to being the owner/veterinarian of the Radnor Veterinary Hospital in Wayne, PA, he also serves as veterinarian for The Schuylkill Center's Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Philadelphia, PA and the House Rabbit Society of Southeastern PA. Dr. Donato sits as a member on the Board of Health for Radnor Township in Delaware County, PA; he has lectured at many AAV conferences and Penn Vet Special Species Symposia, and continues to give talks about exotics in private practice at the Veterinary School.

Lecture Description:

Dr. Donato will educate attendees on the basics of treating non-traditional pets. Considerations include how the animals impact their owners' lives, how the owners' impact the animals' lives, and how we as veterinarians can help both owner and pet. A discussion of how veterinarians can "make a living" while doing what's best for the patient will also be discussed.

Please note, because space is limited, symposium Lecture registration is reserved for veterinary students, technicians, pre-veterinary students and veterinarians. The Wetlab registration is open to veterinary students only.
