Our Committees.

Meet our committees.

The four committees of UES work closely together to put together events and spread our organization's love for economics.

Events Committee

The programs committee puts on events for UES members. Events tend to fall under the following categories:

  • Panels
  • Guest speakers
  • Social events
  • Study breaks

Programs Committee

The programs committee puts on long-term, recurring events (aka programs) for UES members. Some of our programs includes:

  • Peer mentoring
  • Jobs and internships
  • Research
  • Study groups
  • Coffee chats
  • Alumni Database
  • Stata and Excel Workshops

Marketing Committee

The marketing committee is dedicated to attracting and engaging potential new members. It advertises all UES events through email, social media, word of mouth, and print and designs various posters and flyers to promote the UES as a whole and its events and associations. It also works with professors, other clubs, and various academic departments to promote events and build a network.

External Affairs

The External Affairs establishes and maintains connections outside of the Penn community, on and off campus. If you are a company and are interested in working with UES, please contact Jesse Liu, our External Affairs Committee director.

Publications

The Penn Undergraduate Journal of Economics is a UES initiative and now develops a biannual publication by gathering, reviewing, and publishing the best undergraduate papers in economics. Additional details can be found here.
